Sacramento Arte Flamenco invites you to join us for Seattle-based Flamenco dancer Savannah Fuentes latest show production, El Sol de Verano (summer sun) to Sacramento at the California Stage Theater, July 16, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. A dynamic dancer, Savannah Fuentes is committed to exposing her audiences to authentic Flamenco Cantaores (singers) from Spain to perform in her dynamic and transporting productions.   
Spanish Flamenco encompasses the full spectrum of human emotion in its 3 key elements: Song, guitar, and it's signature percussive, dance. Don't miss this chance to experience the enchantment of flamenco in an intimate setting.Savannah Fuentes; Born in Seattle to parents of Puerto Rican and Irish ancestry, Savannah began her studies in Seattle and continued in Spain with dancers such as Belen Maya and Cristobal Reyes.  She currently tours throughout the western united states and has independently produced over 250 presentations and workshops featuring internationally recognized flamenco singers. 
Jose Manuel Perez, "El Pechuguita"; One of Southern Spain's most promising singing prodigies, Jose acquired a deep understanding of el cante Flamenco (Flamenco singing) observing master artists in the Flamenco clubs of his hometown of Seville. Only 22 years of age, Jose has already performed with a long list of today's most prominent Flamenco artists including PalomaFantova, Maria Juncal, and Moi de Moron. 
Bobby de Sofia; Originally from Sofia, Bulgaria, Bobby discovered flamenco en Los Angeles and continued his studies in Andalusia with artists such as Pedro Viscomi and Paco Arroyo. He currently performs regularly at the various Flamenco clubs in the Los Angeles area.

SAVANNAH FUENTES - FLAMENCO MAY 3, 2015 IN SACRAMENTO

Seattle-based  Flamenco dancer Savannah Fuentes brings her latest show, Como el Viento, Flamenco en Vivo to the California Stage Theater at 2509 R Street, Sacramento. Savannah will be joined by singer Jesus Montoya and guitarist Bobby de Sofia. Reservations recommended.
Savannah is an incredible and energetic dancer committed to bringing authentic live Flamenco performances to smaller audiences throughout the Western states. Savannah's passion is bringing legitimate flamenco cante (song) to her audiences, below is more about Singer Jesus Montoya:
Jesús Montoya (Cantaor)
Is from Seville, Spain. Born into the one of the oldest Gypsy families.
He was steeped in flamenco purity and power, earning him the name
"El Rey Del Fandangos Grande" at age 7 and by age 9 he had started his professional singing career. By age 13, he started to tour with various professional companies.
Now a true master of the flamenco arts, Jesús is a man of overwhelming integrity. In addition to his Spanish and European touring credentials, he has toured tirelessly with major flamenco companies throughout the United States and Canada.
An accomplished recording artist as well, including CD's of original compositions as well as collaborations with various world class artists, Jesús has released his 8th CD. The incredibly staged production and recording of "AINADAMAR" "FOUNTAIN OF TEARS" was a double winner of the 2007 Grammy Awards for "BEST CLASSICAL CONTEMPORARY COMPOSITION" and"BEST OPERA RECORDING" for How I Got My Start.
In addition to being the one most respected and sought after touring flamenco singers brought to the US, he continues to perform with his own flamenco company "Pureza Flamenca", widely known for putting on some of the greatest and most exciting flamenco shows worldwide. This award winning company of distinguished flamenco artists are nothing less than brilliant.

CAROLA ZERTUCHE FLAMENCO WORKSHOP IN SACRAMENTO APRIL-MAY 2015

Carola Zertuche will be teaching in Sacramento on 4 Sundays : April 26, May 3, (2 week break) May 24, and May 31.
An additional 4 week workshop session at all levels will follow on Sundays June 7,14, 21, and 28 so mark your calendars!Three Levels, Introductory (Bulerias), Beginning/Intermediate(Solea por Buleria) and Intermediate Advanced (Tangos).Last session's “Introductory Level” class was highly successful, this class is for students with little or no flamenco or dance experience and focuses on the basic “nuts and bolts” of flamenco technique.
